Quality Control Technician

Orange, TX

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician needed for plastic fabrication company to inspect parts and manage ISO system.  Products to be inspected will be parts manufactured for clients such as military & defense, HPLC, electronics, water & waste, food, medical, oil & gas, and aerospace.  This is a top-tier machining workshop with a wide array of advanced machinery capable of producing diverse machined parts. 

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Inspect machined plastic parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM (if applicable), and
         other inspection equipment.
  • Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications.
  • Document inspection results, maintain records, and support traceability.
  • Manage NCRs (nonconformance reports) and facilitate corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with machinists and programmers to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure measuring equipment accuracy.
  • Support ISO 9001 quality management systems and audits.
  • Develop and improve quality processes, checklists, and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and customers as needed.

**What We’re Looking For**

  • 3–10+ years in a QC or quality leadership role within machining or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of precision inspection methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience with plastics machining quality preferred.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
  • High School Diploma or GED

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Experience leading quality teams or managing QC processes.
  • Experience creating and maintaining SOPs, quality procedures, and audit readiness.
  • Familiarity with corrective action systems, root-cause analysis, and CAPA.
  • Experience interacting with customers on quality-related matters 

**Work hours are Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m.--4:30 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch.

**Pay is  $25--$29 per hour DOE.
