Part-Time Medical Administrative Assistant
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Office Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team, in Orange, TX. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment, ensuring a seamless patient experience. You will be the point of contact for patients and visitors, responsible for managing appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Answer and direct incoming calls from patients
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records with accuracy
- Provide phone support to help patients troubleshoot hearing aid issues.
- Process new orders and coordinate with suppliers as needed
- Perform data entry and maintain up-to-date patient files
- Assist in general office organization, including filing, scanning, and preparing documents
- Support other administrative tasks as needed to facilitate smooth office operations
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of healthcare insurance processes is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using office equipment
- Proficiency with data entry and basic computer programs (Microsoft Office and Excel)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Positive attitude with a commitment to patient care and privacy
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The right person for this job will have a genuine interest in providing exceptional customer service to patients.
- MUST be a Texas or Louisiana resident

Work hours are Mon-Thurs 8:00 a.m.--5:00 p.m. with an hour for lunch.
Pay range is $14.00 --$16.00 per hour.
Dress Code is Business Casual.
