Medical Office Receptionist
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Office Receptionist to join our healthcare team, in Orange, TX. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment, ensuring a seamless patient experience. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, responsible for managing appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information regarding services and
appointments, and collect payments. Enter copays into WebPT as well as Office Ally.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, and manage the clinic’s appointment calendar and
set up new/potential patients for therapy.
- Speak in a professional and friendly manner.
- Fax ordering physicians' initial evaluations and progress notes for signature.
- Create electronic and paper files for patients.
- Print future scheduled appointments for all patients.
- Remove sign in labels and reapply to log sheet.
- File various documents
- Keep adequate amount of OMT forms stocked for new patients.
- Keep accurate appointments for the day on dry erase board.
- Pull files for afternoon patients.
- Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and process necessary documentation during
check-in and check-out.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area and patient waiting room. Vacuum as necessary.
- Process and manage medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with billing inquiries and insurance claims when necessary.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient flow and communication.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of healthcare insurance processes is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using office equipment and medical software systems (e.g., EMR/EHR).
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- MUST be a Texas or Louisiana resident

Work hours are Mon-Fri 7:30 a.m.--4:30 p.m. with an hour for lunch.
Pay range is $14.00 per hour.Dress Code is Business Casual.
