Coremaker is to make Cores using Core Boxes (patterns)
- Fill sand in core boxes
- Use chills and risers as needed if it is part of the casting design.
- Operate sand mixer used to make sand cores using core boxes
- Process sand printed cores
- Able to read and interpret drawings
Molding:
- Operate a Sand mixer to mix sand to pour over the pattern or printed mold to make molds
- Use a crane to strip pattern from mold once mold is complete
- Clean printed cores using brushes and vacuums
- Paint cores using mold wash either by brushing or flow coating or swabbing
- Prepping cores by getting a partial fit
- Operate a crane
- Operate a front-end loader
- Operate a forklift.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
High School Diploma/GED and/or 1+ years of equivalent work experience
- Manufacturing or Foundry experience (1-2 years) Superb attention to detail
- Valid Driver's License
