We are hiring a Warehouse Laborer to work at a well-established warehouse in Beaumont, TX (Temp to Permanent Hire)

Job Summary
Work individually or with other warehousemen in crews to receive, store, and ship client product in a manner consistent with Company service objectives. Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely, and perform all duties in accordance with Company procedures while meeting Company standards for safety, security, and productivity.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Ability to read and write legibly.
- Ability to count and perform simply mathematical calculations accurately.
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform work in environments that range in temperature from below freezing to 110 degrees Fahrenheit, are often dusty and noisy, can be wet or dry, as well as indoor or outdoor.
- Ability to drive a forklift in reverse extensively while looking over his shoulder, and bending over forward to the side.
- Ability to communicate using a Company cellular telephone and/or Company radio.
- Ability to lift 75 pound boxes and bags repetitively, having full range of motion in back, neck and shoulders, including ability to squat, stoop or climb ladders, and perform lifting duties from a squat position.
- Ability to step up or down 30 inches in order to mount or dismount a forklift.
- Ability to see sufficiently, with correction, in order to drive a forklift.
- Ability to hear sufficiently to recognize in a noisy environment with poor acoustics, a shouted voice or the sound of an approaching forklift.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other warehousemen and supervisors.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, full ear protection, safety shoes, dust masks, and respirators.
- Ability to be flexible and remain courteous and professional while working efficiently with other warehousemen, supervisors, and with customer service representatives, managing the stress of meeting deadlines, dealing with interruptions, interference, lack of cooperation, and/or errors of others.
- Ability to reason, remember, and observe.
- Ability to pay attention to the details, produce accurate and timely results, and maintain concentration on the task at hand, while juggling multiple assignments, ignoring distractions and noise from other workers nearby.
- Ability to perform correctly from memory and perform complicated procedures after a suitable period of training.
- Ability to maintain stamina and productivity throughout the work day to meet or exceed our standards for productivity, accuracy and speed of performance.
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance. Absenteeism, tardiness, and the inability to complete an entire shift are grave and unacceptable disruptions to our Company’s ability to service our customers.
- Ability to initiate and maintain interpersonal contacts, including with people who may be hostile or impatient, and respond in a positive and professional manner to feedback from customers and coworkers alike.
- Ability to respond positively to feedback and pay attention to details while functioning effectively as a member of a team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive, move, store, and ship product using a fork lift.
- Prepare and stage an order for shipment, including stenciling, applying decals or other marks, banding, and stretch wrapping.
- Operate the packaging equipment, stacking bags, and making up boxes.
- Inspect rail cars, and connect or disconnect the packaging line with the rail car.
- Re-box product, inspect product and/or cut samples.
- Assist with lawn maintenance.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and in working order before using. Advise supervision promptly when equipment or facility repairs are necessary.
- Complete all required paperwork timely and accurately while meeting or exceeding Company standards for productivity, accuracy and speed of performance.
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards while performing all duties in accordance with Company procedures and meeting Company standards for safety and security.
- Participate in Company’s annual physical inventory count.
- Meet or exceed production goals while upholding the Company’s “Every Order Perfect” philosophy and ensuring “Zero Defects” in support of our Quality Program.
- Perform others duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Special Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card
- Steel Toe Boots
- Clean Background
- Clear Drug Screen at time of hire-in
- Must be in GOOD physical condition
- Lift Test--Able to lift 75 pounds manually
- Must be able to attend work regularly and on time
- Must have a checking/savings account for direct deposit.
- Previous forklift experience is needed
Benefits:
Work Hours: 6:00 a.m.--5:00 p.m. Mon-Fri and some Saturdays
**(Overtime paid for time worked over 8 hours per DAY!)
Pay: $15.38 per hour for 520 hours/90 days, then a $2.00 per hour raise when transferred to the company's payroll
**Full benefits after going onto company payroll, including 401K options, paid holidays, and 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of employment
